Our company is an authorized export distributor to the Russian Hydrometallurgical plant “Almaz Met” (before Intermix Met), which has a long history, in excess of 65 years.

To be exact, the plant is 66 years old. In Soviet times, it was a leader in the production of certain types of complex alloys, and some products were exclusively made for the defence industry, including rocket and missile engineering. The plant holds numerous international patents and today, after restructuring, it manufactures two main alloys which are actually offered by «Square Meter» on the world market. These are ferrotitanium, and aluminum-scandium ligature.

The first alloy, ferrotitanium, is widely known and used in metallurgy worldwide. It is used as an ingredient for smelting almost all types of steel. This alloy is traded on all metal exchanges all over the Globe. «Square Meter» offers ferrotitanium produced by “Almaz Met” on Rotterdam’s spot market at floating prices based on “Argus Media” quotations. The smelting output is up to 600 tons per month.

The second product - scandium ligature - offered by the plant and distributed by «Square Meter», is a much rarer and more complex alloy. Exactly for this alloy “Intermix Met” was the undisputed leader among the countries of the former Soviet Union and it’s one of the few companies to have the necessary technology and patents. Today, its output can be up to 20 tons per month.

So what is scandium ligature? In fact, adding just 2% of the rare-earth metal scandium to an aluminum alloy leads to an increase in its strength and lightness by 40%. Nowadays, aluminum-scandium ligature is used in aircraft, spaceship and rocket building. The smelting of this product is a highly sophisticated process and not every metallurgical facility is capable of smelting scandium. «Square Meter» is proud to present this Russian-made product to the world market.

International traders are invited to explore our capabilities in supplying ferrotitanium and scandium ligature directly from the manufacturer and at manufacturer’s prices. For more detailed information, specifications, certificates, current prices and terms of delivery, please contact us as shown in the website footer by any method convenient for you.

!!! NB - «Square Meter» is extremely interested in procuring raw materials for metallurgical plants, namely titanium scrap or turnings, as well as copper scrap. We invite any interested recycling enterprises or traders from Europe or the USA to contact us with a view to cooperating. The required volumes to be imported to the Russian Federation are up to 500 tons of titanium scrap and up to 250 tons of copper scrap per month. We work on a prepayment basis.
